This tape has a backing and you can pull out the length you want and cut it with scissors then peel it off the backing. It's more of a plastic/shiny tape and you can't rip it with your hands.
Deadstock (also known as new old stock) is defined as products that are no longer in production and are discontinued. These are items you cannot buy directly from the manufacturer anymore.
